Welcome to Insight Gloucestershire

We are the local charity in Gloucestershire dedicated to supporting people living with sight impairment or blindness.  We aim to ensure that people with low vision can still enjoy their lives and retain their independence by providing tailored advice.

How we can help

We provide information and advice through a range of services.  Often for many our Helpline 01242 22 11 70 is the first point of call.  Everyone’s experience of sight loss is different and the advice and information that we give to people will reflect this.

After initially getting in touch, people will often visit our Low Vision Resource Centre in Cheltenham.  In the centre there is a display of daily living aids, assistive technology and equipment. All of which are designed to help those living with low vision.  Have a look at our Resource Centre Catalogue for a peek at some of the items we have on display.

People are also welcome to attend our Insight Outreach Service in Moreton in the Marsh or Gloucester. You do not need an appointment just pop in when they are open.

The information and advice that we can offer, covers a wide range of topics. If you have any questions or concerns about your eyes, eye health or indeed are looking to understand how best to support a relative or friend with sight loss please contact us on  01242 22 11 70.

Could you become a Supporter of Insight?
