VI Sport

Gloucestershire Visually Impaired County Cricket Club

If you are blind or sight impaired and would like to have fun and take part in a sport, then VI cricket provides the perfect opportunity. As a Gloucestershire VI Cricket player you have the chance to take part in training sessions delivered by qualified coaches.

VI cricket is played under rules adapted to suit visually impaired people. The ball is a size 3 football and the wickets are larger than standard ones. Players are classified into different categories depending on the quality of their vision. A team is made up of 11 players and must contain at least 3 totally blind players.

Any person, male or female aged 11 or older is allowed to play VI cricket. We have players of all ages, both male and female. Most of us are playing cricket for the first time, so don’t worry if you’ve not played before.

If you would like to give VI cricket a go then please get in touch with Club Chairman Marc Gulwell via email mrwgulwell@gmail.com
